Help & support

Back to playing.

Find answers to common questions about Guitar Blast. Start with the tips below, or get in touch if you need a hand.

Guitar & microphone

Why are my guitar notes not detected?
  1. Check microphone access. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone and enable Guitar Blast. If access is restricted, check Screen Time restrictions. If the app is not listed, open the tuner or a guitar mode to trigger the permission request. Apple’s microphone permission guide
  2. Try the built-in microphone. Disconnect Bluetooth headphones and other external audio devices, then try again. Bluetooth audio can add delay.
  3. Reduce background noise. Play in a quiet place, lower background music, and keep the guitar near your device. Make sure the microphone is uncovered.
  4. Tune your guitar. Use the in-app tuner. Lessons use standard tuning: E A D G B E, from the thickest string to the thinnest.
  5. Play one clear note at a time. Mute the previous string before playing the next note. Avoid chords and overlapping notes.

If notes still do not register, close and reopen Guitar Blast, then test a single open string in the tuner. Tell us whether the tuner responds when you contact support.

Why are some notes wrong or slow to register?
  • Check your tuning first. If detection is delayed, disconnect Bluetooth audio and reduce background noise.
  • Keep unused strings muted, and let each note register before playing the next one.
  • Press the string just behind the fret with enough pressure for a clean sound. Fret buzz can make notes harder to detect.
  • If open strings are in tune but fretted notes are consistently sharp or flat, your guitar may need an intonation adjustment.
Can I practice without microphone access or a guitar?

Yes. Use a tapping mode to practice notes on the screen. Guitar modes and the tuner require microphone access.

Microphone input is analyzed on your device to detect pitch. Guitar Blast does not save or upload microphone recordings. Read the Privacy Policy for more information.

Gameplay & progress

The game is too hard. How can I make it easier?

Open Settings in Guitar Blast and set Difficulty to Casual. Restart the level to apply the change. Revisit earlier levels to build speed and accuracy before moving on.

Why are chapters still locked after I buy PRO?

PRO unlocks paid content, while campaign chapters still require stars earned by playing. Check the star requirement shown on the locked chapter.

If PRO access itself is missing, open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases.

Will Restore Purchases recover my stars and scores?

Restore Purchases restores purchase access. It does not recover stars or scores removed when the app was deleted.

Game progress and preferences are stored on your device. Device or iCloud backups may include this data, depending on your Apple settings. If you are troubleshooting a problem, try closing and reopening the app or restarting your device before deleting the app.

The app is frozen or closes unexpectedly. What should I try?
  1. Close Guitar Blast and open it again.
  2. Restart your iPhone or iPad.
  3. Check the App Store for an available Guitar Blast update.

If the problem continues, contact us with the game mode or level and the steps that led to the problem.

Purchases & subscriptions

How do I restore a purchase after reinstalling or changing devices?
  1. Make sure the App Store is signed in with the Apple Account used for the original purchase.
  2. Connect to the internet.
  3. Open Settings in Guitar Blast and tap Restore Purchases.

A subscription must still be active to restore subscription access. If access is still missing, check your subscription status in your device’s Settings > your name > Subscriptions, then contact us.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Open your device’s Settings, tap your name, then tap Subscriptions and choose Guitar Blast. You can also open Apple’s subscription management page.

Cancellation stops future renewals; paid access continues until the current period expires unless Apple issues a refund or revokes the purchase. See the Terms of Use for billing details.

Deleting Guitar Blast does not cancel a subscription.

How do I request a refund or get help with billing?

Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple Account used for the purchase. Choose “Request a refund,” select a reason and the purchase, then submit your request. Apple reviews refund requests; eligibility depends on Apple’s policies and applicable law.

For payment problems or unfamiliar charges, visit Apple’s billing support. For a purchase that is active but not unlocking PRO in Guitar Blast, contact us.

Still need help?

Email us, or open Settings > Contact Us from the app’s main menu. To help us investigate, include:

  • Your device model, iOS or iPadOS version, and Guitar Blast version.
  • The affected game mode or level.
  • What you expected, what happened, and the steps to reproduce it.
  • For note detection issues: your guitar type, whether headphones or other audio devices are connected, and whether the in-app tuner detects a note.
